Katherine Crook - Rebuilding Your Connection to Your Body

Katherine Creighton Crook (She/her) is a trauma-informed intuitive healing facilitator and body connector, helping leaders and world changers get their bodies on board with their life mission. With a background in clinical massage therapy, which grew to include visceral manipulation, she started noticing that there was often an emotional or energetic component to the pain or issues her clients were experiencing with their bodies, especially if those issues weren't responding to more traditional intervention.

She's developed a unique approach to connecting with the body, so it can show you where you're carrying things you can let go of or so you can release the energy of what you may have already processed mentally / intellectually. Combining an understanding of posture, the musculoskeletal system and biomechanics with an ability to guide a deep connection to your own body, she helps clients develop a different relationship with their body, so it can be the partner it was always meant to be.
Instead of the body being a necessary inconvenience, it's meant to support you in your life's work.

In this video, Katherine Creighton Crook speaks about Rebuilding Your Connection to Your Body. Find out more about her here.

Highlights:
2:45 - How can we start to partner with our bodies?

12:26 - Your body wants you to achieve but it also wants to keep you alive.

Miranda Wildman - Everyday Expressive Art Play

As an artist I am exploring the ways in which capitalism is at play in our daily lives, in history and in the future. Within the system of capitalism art and art making has been known in the past to be only for the elite. I am here to continue, as many artists have, to break through that binary. In my work as a creative guide and visual artist I believe that art and art making are for everyone. Using items we might already have in our home, we can create unique pieces of art. And with a little imagination we don't have to spend a lot of money on art supplies or have a huge studio. Making art together can be a way of connecting to each other and connecting back to ourselves and the earth… Let us play!

Miranda Wildman, Artist and Teacher, speaks about Everyday Expressive Art Play. Find out more about her work here.

Highlights:
3:54 - Making art can help us ground ourselves.
8:42 - How can making art help us set the stage for thriving?
14:07 - Art-making can help us in many different ways.
18:22 - When capitalism threatens art-making.
20:31 - Remember to play.
